Post Oak
An existing Post Oak block, reimagined for a buyer weighing the deal.
Project snapshot
Radical Galaxy Studio produced a concept visualization package for an office and retail block in Houston's Post Oak district. The client was a prospective buyer evaluating the property, and needed to see, and to show partners, how the block could be repositioned as an adaptive reuse office and retail arcade. The set pairs photoreal exteriors of a reworked brick, glass, and metal facade with a street-level view of the arcade and a short cinematic loop. The buyer ultimately did not proceed with the acquisition, so the scheme shown here remains a concept study rather than a built or marketed project.
The Challenge
Adaptive reuse potential is nearly impossible to read from a walkthrough of the existing building. Standing on the site, a buyer sees the block as it is today, not the arcade, the storefronts, or the workplace floors a repositioning could add. The team needed imagery that made the upside legible in a single look, for their own underwriting conversations and for the partners and lenders they were bringing along.
Our Approach
We built the block as a single 3D environment so every image reads from the same geometry and materials. From it we composed a daytime exterior of the reimagined brick, glass, and metal facade, and a street-level view through the arcade with arched storefronts, hanging vines, terrazzo paving, and a central fountain.
The Outcome
The client was able to use the renderings of the repositioned asset to test the scheme against their numbers and to put it in front of partners, well before committing significant capital to the project. The imagery stands as a study in how quickly an adaptive reuse thesis can be made visible during diligence.
This Post Oak concept study is part of our Houston architectural rendering work for office and adaptive reuse repositioning.
Selected renderings
Selected concept renderings for the Post Oak block. A daytime view of the reimagined brick, glass, and metal facade, paired with a street-level composition through the proposed retail arcade showing arched storefronts, planting, and paving at pedestrian scale.
