DMG Mori builds machine tools for customers who evaluate a supplier partly on the plant they walk into. The Chicago campus had to communicate that standard to internal stakeholders, city reviewers, and customers long before the building existed. A manufacturing plant is also a hard subject to sell from drawings: the things that matter are clear height, column spacing, crane runs, equipment bays, truck court depth, and how the branded frontage meets the road. None of that reads from an elevation.

We modeled the building shell, site, and surrounding context as one environment and composed views around how the facility actually gets used. An aerial establishes the site: building footprint, parking, screened service yard, and landscape buffer. Exterior perspectives cover the branded facade and the arrival sequence from the road, including signage and employee entry. Interior views show the production floor with its column grid, overhead crane runs, and equipment bays, plus the skylit showroom-adjacent hall where demo machines sit. A cinematic animation ties the set together, moving from the aerial approach down through the entry and into the production space.

One coherent visual set covering site, arrival, exterior, and production floor, usable in approvals, internal presentations, recruiting, and customer-facing material well ahead of construction. Because the campus lives in a single model, added phases and new viewpoints can be rendered later without rebuilding the site.
